Every author should have a podcast.

Every aspiring author should have a podcast.

Every CEO, pastor, and leader should have a podcast.

Why?

Because we live in the attention economy.

To change minds, hearts, and lives means meeting people with killer content everywhere they're at.

And a podcast is the easiest way to scale content creation.

With a podcast:

  1. You can create 10+ pieces of outstanding content in a fraction of the time

  2. You build valuable relationships (the real podcast ROI)

  3. You learn what your audience responds to

A Repurposing Strategy For Your Podcast

This brings us to launching (or relaunching) a strategic podcast.

First, a strategic podcast fulfills two goals:

  1. Audience goal: what they want in life and need your help to do

  2. Your goal: sharing your message and building the platform required to do so

(Content that nails both goals gets exponentially better by harnessing Creator Loops.)

With those goals in mind, launch your show. Then, use a repurposing framework like this.

Record an episode aligned with your content strategy→ Repurpose into SEO articles for your website, branded newsletter, social, etc.→ Reel in your audience back to HQ where they can opt-in to your list

Repeat until Jesus comes back 😎

This multiplies your time.

With a 30-minute episode, 4x a month, your team can toss dozens of "hooks" in the water to bring people back. This builds your platform faster than you can on your own.

Build the hub — then extend the spokes.

Now, your content downstream will only be as good as your podcast upstream.

So how do you do your best work?

Embrace mother structure.

How Do I Structure A Great Show?

To start or relaunch, structure your show like this 👇

  1. HOOK: Win their attention

  2. WIIFM: Share what's in it for them

  3. CTA: Give them a reason to listen through

  4. INTRO: A great intro with a powerful hook

  5. INTRO GUEST: Briefly intro guest if you have one (just the interesting stuff here)

  6. CONTENT: Jump into your main content (pro tip: have some notes to keep on track)

  7. OUTRO: Summarize takeaways

  8. CTA: Offer customized resource or call them back to your website

The trickiest part is usually numbers 1–4.

This is also where you'll see the most drop off if you don't get it right for your audience.

For an example, here's how the first 90 seconds (points 1–4) could sound like: listen here.

Now, go get 'em 👊
